The Education Department offers 3 sessions of studio classes per year. Fall classes run from mid-September through mid-December; Winter/Spring classes begin in mid-January and run through May; Summer classes are held from mid-June through August and are focused on children.
Any child from age 2 through12 may enroll in a class at the appropriate age level. Ages 13+ may enroll in adult classes unless a specific age is listed.
Periodically, parent-child or inter-generational workshops are offered. Classes vary from pottery, drawing, painting and puppet making to stained glass and sculpture.
Most classes are held in Studios A and B in the Margaret MacNider Education Wing and in the Ceramic Studio in the basement.
