The Charles H. MacNider Art Museum reopened to the public on June 16. The operating hours are: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesdays – Saturdays and 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Masks are required and if you do not have one, staff will provide one for you free of charge. Due to social distancing, the Museum will allow 25 patrons at a time into the facility, with cleaning between groups.
To visit the MacNider, please go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/macnider-museum-visit-registration-108489354580 to register for entry. This will reserve your time slot. If you are not able to register online, please call 641-421-3666 and we will register you. The Museum will permit 25 visitors in at a time, allowing the Museum an opportunity to clean in between groups of guests. Due to smaller galleries with limited capacity, this will ensure safe distancing between groups of visitors. Once you arrive at the Museum, please press the Museum’s Ring door bell system, confirm your visit, and you will be admitted.
The Ceramics Studio and Imagination Playground continue to be closed at this time. Kids’ Club will be presented online with art kits in June and July. Additionally, select in-person classes for youth and adults will start in late June. If you wish to visit the Museum to discuss rentals, pay your membership, or register for a class, please call 641-421-3666 to make arrangements, or pay over the phone.
